In 2024 we partnered with Diabetes UK South East Coast and London to host a free community workshop at Poplar Mosque, bringing together local women to discuss managing diabetes safely during Ramadan.

The session covered healthy meal choices for Suhoor and Iftar, safe approaches to fasting with diabetes, medication management, and alternative ways to observe Ramadan if fasting isn’t suitable.

Diabetes UK hosted a webinar bringing together people living with diabetes, religious scholar Moulana Azizur Rahman, and health expert Dr. Waqas Tahir to discuss managing diabetes during Ramadan.
